What is My Ideal Weight?

What is My Ideal Weight?
What is my ideal weight? I almost hear this question every day while giving consultation about weight management.

So my height 170cm, my weight is 65kg, is ideal or not? How much weight should I have?

I practice fitness, but why my weight going up when I want it down?

While others said, they practice fitness but why their body weight going down, not going up? This simple problem turns out to be its own polemic in the world of fitness.

Actually in the world of fitness, NO such thing such as ideal body weight. If we follow the old standards (height is reduced by 110) so for example our height 170cm, weight 60kg, would not that be too thin?

Body weight should not be too set to get an ideal weight. Our bodies consist of a majority of fat and muscle. Two things that determine our weight. Muscle increases or decreases, the weight we will be affected, as well as the fat increases or decreases, the weight we will certainly be affected as well. The difference is that fat is unhealthy and fat can not give the body shape that we consider "beautiful"

To find out the ideal weight, the recommended standard is the body shape that we see through a mirror. That was the initial stage we have to do. Have we satisfied with the shape of our bodies? Is my stomach is too fat? Was my arm too sagged?

Many people still can not accept this perspective, and still forced to ask WHAT MY IDEAL WEIGHT? I myself have experienced, with my height which is 170cm my body weight 61kg, with very little fat, and my body looks quite ideal, but I also have experienced to have 61kg weight, with fat that very much so I can not buttoning my pants. It's the same height and weight, but two different conditions. The ideal and the other one is not ideal. Is something called ideal weight still exist? The answer is NO.

Normal fat content is 15-20% for men while women 20-25%. Good fat content that good can make better-shaped body is 10-15% for men and 15-20% for women .

Fitness exercise for the body shape is doing two things, is to lose amount of fat, and increase amount of muscle. When muscles grow, body weight will also rise, our bodies will be more defined. When the fat is reduced weight will come down, our bodies will look thin.

If for example, 1 kg of muscle increases, whereas 1kg of fat is reduced, our pant size will be changed even if our weight not changed. So for us who wish to have an ideal body, not sticking with the numbers on the scale because so many factors that can make weight change.
