Common Problems When Starting Dieting

If we decided to start dieting! two plans appear in our minds to start it. The first is to start dieting, starting from reducing fried foods, choosing wheat bread for a snack, eat fruit and vegetables. The second plan, start exercising, whether it starts from just jogging around the house in the morning, or join health clubs to participate in a variety of classes such as yoga, RPM, Body Pump, and so on. However, if the diet is as easy as just cutting back food and start exercising, why so many people still complaints like "I've been dieting, but why my weight not come down?" or "I've been exercising hard, but why my stomach does not shrink at all?" What exactly should be considered when we decided to start our weight loss program?

Actually, diet, exercise, whatever way we choose to lose weight, the key is our body's metabolism. It's our body metabolism that regulate our calorie burning. I'm not saying fat burning here, because it would be a different discussion topic. The wrong diet, like eating less or reduce calories hoping weight will come down actually will make our body's metabolism slows down. If your metabolism slows down, will mean fewer calories are burned by the body. Not doing exercise can also slow down your metabolism.

12 Steps To Start Your Weight Loss

Many people have asked what kind of sport? Diet should be like what? I've been on a diet instead lost weight I actually got ulcers, and many other similar questions. Moving on from the same problem, I tried to give the initial steps that must be considered in losing weight.
  1. Note the initial state of your body, measure the circumference of waist, thighs, arms and chest. Measure your weight, and as much as possible find out how many percent of fat levels in your body. It is very important to measure the progress of your efforts and evaluate if there is a shortage.
  2. Determine a realistic goal such as losing 2-3 kg in the first month. Do not expect to drop 10-15 kg in the first month. The more realistic your goals, and when you manage to achieve it, your motivation will be stronger for the next steps.

What kind of exercise to burn fat?

When we decide to lose weight, certainly we think that we should start exercise. But what kind of exercise to burns fat? Many friends say just go to the Personal Trainer at gym A, or jogging in the morning. Because many people suggest gym A or gym B or gym C, finally we decided that the best exercise to burn fat is to join one of the existing gym near your home or office.
exercise to burn fat

After joining gym, again we are faced with many choices of activities. There are aerobics classes, body pump, yoga, RPM. Because not familiar with this exercise then finally we decided to run on the treadmill alone. When we exercise, we will burn fat, and if we ran faster and faster on the treadmill, sweat more profusely, higher calories burned and certainly we will be thin more quickly.

Metabolism Influence for Fat Burning

METABOLISM - we often hear these words when discussing matters related to body weight. we call obese people have slow metabolism, whereas we say that thin people have fast metabolism, so they will not be fat, despite eating anything. Indeed, genetic factors determine how fast our metabolism, but do you know that your metabolism can be changed? In fact, we can program our metabolic rate?

Which is often regarded as a metabolism is actually a BMR stands for Basal Metabolic Rate. BMR is the amount of energy that our body needs just to live, without doing anything, when we are in a lying position, and our stomach is not digesting.

What is My Ideal Weight?

What is My Ideal Weight?
What is my ideal weight? I almost hear this question every day while giving consultation about weight management.

So my height 170cm, my weight is 65kg, is ideal or not? How much weight should I have?

I practice fitness, but why my weight going up when I want it down?

While others said, they practice fitness but why their body weight going down, not going up? This simple problem turns out to be its own polemic in the world of fitness.

7 Most Fatal Mistakes In Dieting

People's views about diet is to eat less in order to lose weight. Reducing meal can be associated with the following matters which actually harm for our bodies and the outcome is weight never go down. Or if it can go down, in the near future will go back up that so-called yo-yo dieting.

Fatal mistakes in the diet which very often happens:

1. Starve
eat a lot could add weight means eating less will reduce our weight, if the stomach feels hungry, we will try to restrain your hunger and not eating. Starve our bodies will lead to decreased metabolism, which causes slowing of fat burning, and all it lowers our energy everyday so that we will feel less fit, sluggish. Hunger is also a sign of our stomach is empty and your blood sugar is low while our brains need it. If continue, we will start to feel dizzy. It also includes people which eat a day only once or twice in order to be thin. The truth is to eat 5-6x a day, three meals and three snacks normal to spur the body's metabolism to remain high.

2. Skip Breakfast
was deliberately done, or could not be done, or not used to doing, skipping breakfast was very common in our environment. Breakfast is the most important meal for our bodies. Once we sleep 8 hours with no nutrients at all, our bodies need nutrients at breakfast and also to face a long day filled with energy. Skipping breakfast keeps your body catabolic, which is the body trying to take energy by taking from our muscles.

Is Eating Fat Makes You Fat?

From our time getting fatter, everyone always told us the same thing, namely that we eat fats (often associated with fat or oil), then our bodies will become fat (obese). And if you want thin, the solution is to not eat fatty or greasy foods. Avoid fat by all means. Is reality like that? Needs to know, there are several types of calories, as well as with fat.

Our bodies, process fat differently in different ways as well. The difference is that, by consuming bad fat then we turn off the ignition button of our body that causes more difficult to burn fat. While we consume good fat will increase your metabolism and help your body to burn fat

Is low carb diet can make body slim?

low carbohydrates diet

We often hear myth, if you want to be thin, eat less rice because rice contains many carbohydrates. Try to reducing carbs consumption or usually called low carbohydrates diet if you want to be thin.

Or even more extreme, do not eat carbs, but eat more protein if you want thin, because the protein is not stored by the body but discarded. Apparently to get a thin body is not easy as simply by reducing carbohydrates consumption.

Eat less can cause obesity

It is true by eating less, strict dieting while our body is starving can make our bodies slim? Apparently the answer is NO and actually eat less can cause obesity. Although from ancient times until now, lot of eating is the main cause of obesity, but eating less is not the answer for losing weight.

Our bodies are designed in such way that is able to keep itself from death. An example is if we had not eaten in a long time, then the end result is death. Because the body trying not to die, the brain provides signals to the body in the form of hunger, which in essence is telling us to start taking food, in order to stay alive and not harm the body's condition.
